Gallery at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

Local Shropshire artists on display

Visit our gallery and cafe gallery to view amazing works of art by local artists and crafts people inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Shropshire Hills. The exhibitions change every 4-6 weeks and many of the pieces are available for purchase. You can visit the exhibition 7 days a week.

29th August – 9th October

Angela Arnold – Memories of Scotland
Angela is self-taught and paints mostly acrylics on board which she textures and frames herself. She paints in both semi-abstract and a  more representational style. These exhibit contains landscapes that Angela painted when living Scotland, the typical field structures of the Mearns and some sea-side skyscapes as well.

David Whiley – Landscapes of the Edge
Expressive contemporary landscapes based on the experiences of sailing and walking the coast, sea, offshore islands and mountains of Wales, Scotland and Brittany.

10th October – 20th November

Julie Price and Georgina Shepherd
A Brush with Shropshire
This exhibition focusses on the Hills of South Shropshire and the Welsh Borders including pieces in watercolour, oil and acrylic painting, all by two contemporary artists. Julie and Georgina met whilst studying for their degrees in fine art and have since exhibited widely both individually and together.

Diana Nuttall
Mammoths in Shropshire and Lions in Venice
A regular exhibitor at the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, Diana’s work is always well received. As a result of a visit to Venice and going on a lion hunt, this exhibition will continue Diana’s tendency to find interesting ways of depicting scenes with a humorous and intriguing manner.

10am – 5pm
Free entry. All pieces on display available to purchase
