Gallery at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

Local Shropshire artists on display

Visit our gallery and cafe gallery to view amazing works of art by local artists and crafts people inspired by the beautiful landscape of the Shropshire Hills. The exhibitions change every 4-6 weeks and many of the pieces are available for purchase. You can visit the exhibition 7 days a week 10am-5pm.

David Randell
21st September to 30th October

David began taking photographs in the 1960's, preferring to work in monochrome, producing his own prints in the darkroom. Soon after moving to Shropshire in 2008 he made the change to digital photography. His images are mostly landscapes which he enjoys taking in the winter months when the trees appear like skeletons in the landscape and the skies can be more dramatic. Most of his images have been taken near his home in Bushmoor.

Four Corners - The Marches Scribes
1st October to 30th October

The Marches Scribes are a group of calligraphers whose aim is to promote the art of calligraphy and lettering. We hold monthly workshops at Monkland Village Hall with experienced tutors, to share and enjoy fine writing and associated crafts. We are a friendly, welcoming group and regularly run classes for beginners. This year our annual exhibition comprises around forty interpretations of the title Four Corners, by beginners and more experienced calligraphers.
For more information about our workshops and classes for beginners, contact 01544 327 657 or find us on our website at marches-scribes.com

10am – 5pm
