Events at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre

Events & Activities for everyone!

There are regular family events and workshops throughout the school holidays to keep children and adults amused and entertained as well as on-going adult workshops and cookery courses.

Geo-caching (hi-tech treasure hunts) available all year round.

Children's Activities

Have you ever seen a water-nymph, built a house of sticks, gone in search of hidden bears, or been on a virtual dinosaur dig? If not, now is your chance! Perfect for the young and the young at heart. Explore nature and get creative. There is our new 'Discovery Club' for our younger visitors and we do great children’s parties, educational and group visits too.

Discovery Club

This is a once a month Discovery Club for children to explore the outdoors, have fun and get back to nature.

The last Saturday of every month 11am - midday there are different activities centred on exploring nature and the outdoors, get crafty and creative. Aimed at children aged 3-7yrs old (though older children loving to be outside are welcome) accompanied by an adult (you'll have just as much fun!), bring your wellies just in case the weather isn't kind to us. Events are buggy friendly and there is an indoor alternative in the event of really bad weather.
£2.50 per accompanied child. No need to book, just turn up.

Adult Courses

We offer a variety of practical adult courses throughout the year from hedgelaying, coppicing and our newly launched cookery courses.
