Tusker’s Colour Run FAQs:

  1. Will the paint stain my clothes? The paint is biodegradable but we can’t guarantee it will wash out of clothes completely and it can leave a colour haze on light clothing so please do where clothes that you don’t mind getting messy.
  2. How long will the run take? The route is 3.5K and there is no time limit on completion.
  3. What should I wear? We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy. White is best as it really shows off the paint you have collected on your way around.
  4. Will there be photographs? An on site photographer will be taking photos at the beginning and end so do find him to get your photo taken.
  5. Can my friends and family watch? Friends and family can watch from the start and finish and there will be inflatables and a face painter as well as refreshments to buy at the beginning.
  6. Will there be refreshments? Participants will have free water on tap to refill their containers. There will be a barbecue and bar at the beginning/end for all other refreshments that available to buy.
  7. How can I book? You can book via SI entries here.
  8. Do I have to run? You can walk or run, there are no time limits.
  9. Do I have to fund raise? There is no obligation to raise funds for any charities but you are very welcome to if you would like to. If you can’t think of a charity, we have suggested charities that we work with. Find them here.
  10. Can I just turn up on the day? We advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment on the day as spaces are limited.
  11. What age do I need to be to take part? Any age can take part, find prices here.
  12. Where does the run start and finish? The run will start and finish through the tusks in the meadows, right outside the back of the Centre.
  13. What does it cost? Under 5s are free, juniors are £9 and adults are £15. A family of 2 adults and 2 juniors can enter for £40.
  14. What does the cost include? Prices include a tub of paint each for the beginning, protective sunglasses to wear and take home and unlimited refills of water.
  15. Will I be timed? This race is un-timed so have fun on the way round without worrying about a PB.
  16. What time will it start? Participants will go off in two groups. When booking, you will be asked to choose between 10am and 1pm start time.
  17. Can I bring my dog? We are not allowing dogs on the route.
  18. Is there a minimum age for a child to take part? There is no set minimum age exactly. It is up to the discretion of the parent/guardian of the child and the main thing to consider would be the child’s exposure to the colour powder. The paint company say that some smaller children choose to wear a bandana to protect the mouth and nose from inhaling dust.
